It's interesting that Captivate makes up the largest user group--yet it has so many limitations to truly customizable, interactive e-learning.

Hey Joe!
I've been an Authorware developer for about 7 years. Unfortunately, with it's demise it seems that companies are looking for alternatives. It would be great to hear your thoughts on some of them. One thing is for sure, Lawson(our HR and Payroll software) has brow beat our VP of IS into purchasing "Learning Accelerator"...ugh it is simply the most awkward, cumbersome and inefficient product I have ever seen. It's output is ugly, it's interface is ugly and it's ridiculously expensive to boot. I hope that some good alternative reviews like here: http://awaretips.net/ and hopefully any insight you could offer will prevent the further bullying of large companies with crappy wares.

I would be curious to see that same poll given to people who make the purchasing decisions when buying e-learning tools. In working for several companies I have seen a tension between what the developers want and what management wants.
